Executive Board of the Faculty of Medicine
The field of medicine at Tübingen, i.e. the association of the Faculty of Medicine and the University Hospital, has acquired a special status within the University as a whole on account of its shared and closely integrated functions of research, teaching, training and medical care.
The composition of the management team at the Faculty of Medicine, Tübingen, is regulated by the German tertiary education law (LHG). This requires a Faculty Board, a Faculty Council and a Study Committee. Beyond this, the Faculty of Medicine, Tübingen, is free to establish advisory committees or panels and is free to choose the structure of the Dean's office.
