iFIT Lunch & Learn Session with Prof. Dr. Peter Scott (University of Michigan)
Talk on "We are Explorers in Radiochemical Space: Adventures in Automation, Artificial Intelligence, Radiochemistry and PET imaging"
We are delighted to announce our next iFIT Lunch & Learn Session!
Our speaker is Prof. Dr. Peter Scott - University of Michigan, USA - and he will give a talk on
“We are Explorers in Radiochemical Space: Adventures in Automation, Artificial Intelligence, Radiochemistry and PET imaging.”
Prof. Peter Scott started his independent faculty career at the University of Michigan in 2009, where he is currently an Associate Professor of Radiology and Pharmacology, Director of the PET Center, and a Faculty Scientist in Medicinal Chemistry and the Rogel Cancer Center. Prof. Scott's group is involved in all aspects of the Radiopharmaceutical Sciences including i) developing new methods for radiolabeling bioactive molecules, ii) cGMP radiopharmaceutical manufacture, iii) development of radiotracers for PET imaging of CNS disorders, and iv) application of new technology (e.g. automation, machine learning) to radiochemistry. He has published over 140 papers, edited 5 books, and is listed as an inventor on multiple patents . The goals of his lab are to use PET radiotracers to improve our understanding of disease mechanisms and, ultimately, employ them as companion diagnostics to support therapeutic development.
As a special feature of this program, the iFIT will sponsor free lunch packages to all attending the session!
We look forward to this Lunch & Learn session and to see you there!
