iFIT Seminar Series with Prof. David Heppner, PhD
Enabling insights into drug development through structural studies of EGFR inhibitors

On behalf of the iFIT spokespersons Lars Zender, Hans-Georg Rammensee and Bernd Pichler, it is our pleasure to inform you about and invite you to the next episode of our iFIT Seminar Series 2023 that will take place
on Monday, October 9th at 03:00 pm s.t. (CEST)
at the Big Lecture Hall (Medical Clinic, Otfried-Müller-Straße 10, 72076 Tübingen).
Our guest speaker Prof. David Heppner from University at Buffalo will give a talk on
“Enabling insights into drug development through structural studies of EGFR inhibitors”
Structural information often accelerates the development of inhibitor molecules and and provides inspiration for the evolution of next-generation compounds. This presentation will describe how studies of diverse cocrystal structures of EGFR inhibitors have led to important insights across various molecules currently deployed in the clinic and those positioning to address unmet needs in cancer. Several creative divergences from these structures highlight the ways by which structural information can lead to new classes of inhibitors that probe unexpected properties of EGFR and related kinase targets.
All members of the University Hospital and University of Tübingen are invited to participate!
We look forward to this Seminar Series session and to see you there!
