Prof. Jan Böttcher: Immunevasion in PDAC: lessons from cancer cell states
Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) is a highly lethal malignancy with poor prognosis and limited treatment options. In most patients with PDAC, immunotherapy is ineffective and fails to elicit robust anticancer immunity, which is attributed to a profoundly immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment. In this talk, I will discuss new insights into cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying immunosuppression in PDAC and how these findings bay be leveraged to enhance or reinvigorate T cell-mediated anticancer immunity and improve therapeutic strategies.
