Students gain experience in the field of scientificity and research early on in their studies. This gives students the opportunity to become acquainted with Tübingen's research priorities and gain insight into an exciting field of work. The Longitudinal Curriculum Scientificity includes three events:
- Lecture series (1st semester): Here, students are provided with valuable insights into the research focus areas of the University Hospital during six lecture sessions.
- Basic Propaedeutics (3rd semester): In this course, students are taught the basics of good scientific work as well as statistical and ethical principles.
- Project Work (5th semester): After teaching specific basics, project work builds basic scientific skills, provides insight into scientific thinking and working and expands the student's range of methods also with a view to later doctoral studies.
