Summer University: Invisible Heroes: Microscopic Insights into Cancer Immunotherapies

Summer University at the University of Tübingen means that students and the interested public can choose from a series of nine generally understandable, but still research-relevant and exciting lectures from a wide range of subject areas. The Summer University is organized in cooperation with the university town of Tübingen and is part of the Tübingen Cultural Summer.
Under the title: Invisible heroes: Microscopic insights into cancer immunotherapies, Bettina Weigelin presented her research to the interested public on August 5th at 10:15 a.m. in the lecture hall of the Theologicum. The use of modern microscopic imaging techniques makes it possible to observe the immune system with ever greater precision and depth of information. These technologies open up new possibilities for understanding the complex interactions between immune cells and cancer cells. The lecture conveys the latest developments in microscopic imaging and its application in cancer immunotherapy. It offers an exciting insight into research that aims to use the immune system to fight cancer and thus develop new therapeutic approaches that could improve the lives of many patients.
