Researchers at the Cluster of Excellence "Control of Microorganisms to Fight Infections" (CMFI) want to elucidate the mechanisms of interaction between beneficial and harmful bacteria in order to make them usable for targeted therapeutic interventions in the long term.
In four major research areas and seven junior research groups the researchers are working on joint interdisciplinary projects.
Two researchers from the CMFI were also appointed to the professorships " Bacterial Metabolomics" and "Microbiome-Host Interactions".
