The Interfaculty Research Institute for Sport and Physical Activity is the central forum for sport and exercise-related research at the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen. It bundles sport and physical activity research structures at various university institutions.
The core institutions are the Institute of Sports Science of the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences and the Department of Sports Medicine of the Faculty of Medicine. By bundling their capacities, a high-performance and internationally visible research and service profile is created.
