What are the responsibilities of surgical logistics?

In a nutshell, the role of surgical logistics is to ensure that all materials needed for a surgery are available in full, at the right time, and in the right place.

How many items are in stock?

In total, there are approximately 10,000 items in our warehouse.

How do you find your way around there?

Each item has its own designated storage location. After a while, every employee in surgical logistics knows the storage locations of the individual items. However, you can also use a computer program to find out where a particular item is located in the warehouse.

How many employees does OP Logistics have?

Our surgical logistics department currently has 28 employees. They work 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, in various roles.

What makes working in surgical logistics so interesting?

That’s not such an easy question to answer. After all, every area of responsibility is interesting in its own way. In surgical logistics, we work very closely with various departments, such as surgical nursing, controlling, and the UKT’s purchasing department.
