Our training occupations

Take off into a secure future

Not everyone who wants to work in the medical field has to start a medical degree to do so. For a smooth clinic operation, we need a wide variety of specialists at the clinic. Therefore we offer beside the school training to care and Assistenzkräften also specializations such as electrician, buyers, specialized computer scientists and many more. We train all these occupational groups ourselves.

Training in nursing professions

Learning care professions

The School for Nursing Professions at the University Hospital Tübingen offers classic training courses for nurses. In addition, numerous recognised professional further training courses are available in order to further qualify professionally after the training. If you decide against the classical training path, you can also study nursing in a Bachelor's programme.

Health Care and Nursing

In order for sick people to recover, we need more than the doctor who makes the diagnosis and initiates the therapy. As a nurse, you are the link between doctors, therapists and patients. You measure blood pressure, pulse, temperature and weight, administer the prescribed medication and report to the visit team on the recovery process. On the computer you are fit and systematically document the patient data. You have empathy and are psychologically resilient.

Training in health care and paediatric nursing

Health Care and Paediatric Care

As a pediatric nurse, you not only work closely with doctors and therapists, but also with the parents of your little patients. Your patients require a very special empathy, because they are often not yet able to assess their situation themselves. The care of premature babies and newborns is just as much a part of your job as dealing with children and young people.

Medical-Technical Assistance Laboratory (MTL)

The majority of all diagnoses in medicine depend on laboratory diagnostic procedures. Medical-technical assistants in the Laboratory Department (MTL) use laboratory tests to develop the basis for doctors' diagnostic and therapeutic decisions. You examine tissue, recognise from the cell picture whether pathological changes are present, you determine the blood count, you analyse body fluids or excreta with the help of large analysis machines and know the functions and measuring principles of these devices.
