International Nursing Staff

International Nursing Staff at the Clinic

Have you earned a vocational nursing qualification in your home country and would you like to work together with us at the Universitätsklinikum Tübingen (in Southwestern Germany)? Join our team!

The university clinic offers courses for nurses from abroad (f/m/d) targeted at completing the examination for qualification as a nurse.

In July 2022, the Universitätsklinikum Tübingen was awarded the seal of quality as one of the “Best Places to Work for International Nurses in Germany”.

Step-by-Step: Your Path to Recognition

Qualification involves practical assignments, theoretical instruction and language training (German B2, nursing). After passing the language test (German B2, nursing) and the knowledge test, you’ll receive your certificate of recognition from the Regierungspräsidium Stuttgart.

International nurses receive either a contract as a provisional trainee or an employment contract as a nursing assistant from the clinic. A permanent employment contract may be offered after successful approval on the basis of your residence and work permits.

We provide you with assistance for all of the necessary applications and correspondence.
