What we are guided by
We see the treatment process of a patient at the University Hospital of Tübingen as part of his or her individual life. Nursing care deals with the state of health in a preventive, maintaining or improving way. This also includes dealing with the consequences of illness or disability and accompanying sick or dying people.
We refer to an image of man that is based on personal responsibility and self-determination. This understanding implies that there is a different need for support from other people at different stages of the individual's life.
We contribute to the clinic's three social missions:
- The care of sick people in the surrounding area and beyond.
- Research as a contribution to the health care of tomorrow.
- Teaching and training as a contribution to maintaining competence in health care.
The common values of all employees are: sympathetic humanity towards patients, motivation and highest professional competence.
