To this end, employees in the central float pool work their way into various nursing areas of the hospital.

As an employee of the Central Float Pool, you enjoy special benefits. These are, for example:

Nursing staff ratio

Survey of the nursing staff ratio (PPQ):
Nursing staffing at the UKT significantly above the national average

The Nursing Staff Strengthening Act (PpSG) came into force on January 1, 2019. The aim of the law is to establish better staffing levels and working conditions in nursing and geriatric care. In this context, the so-called nursing staff quotient (PPQ) in German hospitals was determined for the first time for the year 2020. The University Hospital of Tübingen performs above average and is among the 15 percent of hospitals in Germany with the best staffing levels in nursing.
The nursing staff ratio for Tübingen University Hospital is 49.78. This means that, statistically speaking, one nurse in Tübingen looks after an average of 50 patients per year from admission to discharge. In Germany, the mean value of the facilities surveyed is 68.01.

UPDATE: In the second survey, the UKT also performed above average and was able to improve the value of about ten percent!
