EPH Conference Berlin 2022

The 15th European Public Health Conference took place from 9-12 November 2022 in Berlin, Germany, and the Population-Based Medicine department was present. The conference was a great success, with a total of 2500 delegates from over 80 countries worldwide attending to discuss "Strengthening health systems: improving population health and being prepared for the unexpected". A symposium on "Depression comorbidity in prediabetes and diabetes: evaluating risk factors and outcomes" was conducted by PBM department staff. In addition, new research results and findings from international collaborations were presented, for example on the topics of Mental Health, Cognitive Functioning and Mortality. In the "German Public Health Pavilion" area, PBM also drew attention with its own booth to its international Master's program Population-Based Medicine, which had been newly accredited in July 2022. Many interesting conversations were held, contacts were made, and thus international students were recruited in direct exchange.
