iFIT Strategy Retreat & Scientific Advisory Board Meeting

These were intense days from the 10th to 13th of November in the middle of the Black Forest, but in the end we had a successful weekend behind us. Already from Thursday on, many of our members met in the beautiful Schluchsee, but not to enjoy a long weekend to relax, but to work constructively on the future of the cluster. In intensive working groups, new approaches and strategies were developed to set the course for a potential second funding period for the iFIT Cluster of Excellence. Directly following the Strategy Retreat, the first Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) meeting took place. Thus, the SAB was given a comprehensive review of the past more than three years of research work in the Cluster of Excellence and furthermore a look into the future. The SAB was impressed by the work done and the insights gained and gave valuable advice to the Cluster of Excellence to be prepared for the upcoming application for a possible second funding period.
