World Health Summit 2023, Berlin

The 2023 World Health Summit agenda under the motto "A Defining Year for Global Health Action", included topics such as climate change and health, pandemic prevention, plus digital technologies and 75 years of WHO. More than 3000 participants from 106 countries were on site in Berlin from October 15-17, 2023, among them Prof. Dr. Norbert Schmitz with Sarah Rau and Sonja Grund.

The World Health Summit is the world's leading international conference on global health. The goals of the WHS are to develop innovative solutions to improve global health, promote exchange, implement global health as a central political issue, and to advance the global health debate according to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). In 2009, the forum was founded at Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin. The World Health Summit 2023 was once again held under the patronage of German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, French President Emmanuel Macron and the Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO), Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus.
