at Crona HS 210 (Crona Kliniken, Hoppe-Seyler-Straße 3, 72076 Tübingen).
Our guest speaker and iFIT member, Prof. Dr. André Martins (University Hospital Tübingen - W3 Full Professor in Advanced Preclinical Metabolic Imaging and Cell Engineering) will give a talk on
“The Power of Metabolic Imaging and Hybrid Techniques in Understanding the Tumor Microenvironment and Physiology Events”.
“In this talk, we will delve into the use of multimodal approaches for imaging tissue physiology within the context of molecular imaging in cancer. We will present the latest advances in detecting and discriminating metabolic events in vivo, utilizing innovative metabolic sensors, hyperpolarized and advanced metabolic imaging, and hybrid technology. By leveraging fundamental sciences like physics, chemistry, biology, and medicine, we can detect metabolism through preclinical and clinical imaging. This talk will offer a comprehensive overview of these techniques and their potential to advance our understanding of metabolic processes in vivo”.
