🇳🇱 🌷 Greetings from the lovely city of Rotterdam! Our spokesperson Lars Zender is part of this years Annual Congress of the European Association for Cancer Research (EACR). As an invited speaker, he just gave a talk on "A new role of senescent cells in driving metastasis of therapy naive tumors".

🔬 💬 He presented the latest iFIT work on senescence in cancer. The study describes a novel and unprecendented mechanism how senescent cancer cells occur in therapy naive sold tumors and how the presence of the cells fuel metastatic spread of the tumor. These most recent data harbors important translational implications and derived therapeutic strategies might help to diagnose more cancers at earlier, non-metastatic stages, which are amenable to curation.
