iFIT podcast episode "Tackling cancer with T cells"

The next podcast episode of "exzellenterklaert - top research for all" is online. This time it's all about cancer research! How can we help our immune system in the fight against cancer? Listen in and let Bettina Weigelin and Judith Feucht tell you about CAR-T cell therapies. Both researchers are working together in the only oncology excellence cluster iFIT to develop new methods to improve cancer immunotherapy. The therapy focuses on T cells, which play a central role in our immune system. These are modified in Judith's lab so that they can better fight the respective cancer cells. Using state-of-the-art microscopes, Bettina can then study how well the modified T cells fight cancer.
