iFIT researchers part of the EMIM 2021

This year's European Molecular Imaging Meeting took place from 24th to 27th of August, 2021 in Göttingen. Participating from the iFIT Cluster of Excellence were Prof. Dr. Bettina Weigelin, Dr. André Martins and Dr. Johannes Schwenck, each with presentations on topics related to molecular imaging. Bettina Weigelin's talk highlights how intravital microscopy provides mechanistic insights into the function of immune cells in tissues that can change long-held views in the field of tumor immunology and contribute to the development of new therapeutic strategies. In his talk, André Martins addresses multimodal approaches to imaging tissue physiology in the context of molecular imaging. Last but not least, Johannes Schwenck addresses the clinical implementation of new molecular imaging techniques in his talk. A review of EMIM 2021 can be found on the European Society for Molecular Imaging website.
