iFIT Retreat 2021
Participating iFIT members and guests had the opportunity to take a look at the new iFIT laboratories and equipment at Röntgenweg 11 during the retreat. One of the highlights of the event was a poster session within the iFIT Early Career Program. Young iFIT scientists (PhD students and young postdocs) were invited to prepare a poster about their current research projects and present it during the event. Out of more than 32 participants in the competition, three winners were selected and awarded by a jury of experts. First place went to Clemens Hinterleitner with a grant of €15,000. Second place was shared by two young researchers, Martina Giampetraglia and Björn Traenkle, who each received €10,000 in funding. The money is tied to the respective research project of the winners within the iFIT Cluster of Excellence.
