Online interview with Lisa Sevenich

What role does our immune system play in the development of brain tumors and brain metastases? This is an exciting field of research being explored by Prof. Dr. Lisa Sevenich, head of the Experimental Neuro-Oncoimmunology research group at the Hertie Institute for Clinical Brain Research (HIH) in Tübingen. Her group is part of our iFIT Cluster of Excellence. In the interview with the Hertie Foundation, Prof. Lisa Sevenich explains why immunology is becoming increasingly important in the fight against brain tumors, why brain metastases have been ignored by research for so long, and why the microbiome could be a promising therapeutic approach.
