Spokesperson Lars Zender part of German Cancer Congress
🤔How can we bridge the gap between the development of new cancer therapies & drugs in the lab and their application at the bedside? 💡One answer to this is the efficient translation of innovative preclinical discoveries and developments into clinical applications by offering cancer patients clinical trials in a simple and straightforward manner. That is precisely the goal of the NCT Nationales Centrum für Tumorerkrankungen!
👨⚕️As Managing Director of the NCT SouthWest and iFIT spokesperson, Lars Zender gave interesting insights into the perspectives and potentials of academic investigator-initiated trials at the 37th German Cancer Congress of the Deutsche Krebsgesellschaft e. V. (DKG) in Berlin.
🤝The collaboration between iFIT and NCT establishes a unique valuegenerating pipeline by allowing new therapeutic and diagnostic concepts to be developed preclinically within iFIT to be evaluated in early clinical trials at NCT.
🔬Lars presentation was part of the highlight session "Clinical trial landscape in Germany" with contributions from Michael Baumann from DKFZ Deutsches Krebsforschungszentrum, Cedrik M. Britten from Immatics, Johannes Foerner from NCT and Melanie Boerries from Universitätsklinikum Freiburg.
