The M3 Summer Symposium took place with over 230 participants

The M3 Research Center's Summer Symposium again proved to be a major success this year, drawing over 230 attendees from across the scientific community and their relatives. The Summer Symposium showcased exciting advances in liver research, immunology, cancer biology, microbiome science, and translational medicine for and by researchers of The M3 Research Center. The diverse program sparked inspiring discussions and highlighted the collaborative spirit of our scientific community.

Following a day of inspiring scientific presentations and lively discussions, the symposium concluded with a summer get-together, warmly introduced by Prof. Mathias Heikenwälder and Prof. Nisar Malek. In beautiful sunshine and hot summer weather, guests enjoyed refreshing ice cream from an ice cream truck and plenty of fresh watermelon on the terrace—a welcome treat in the heat. With a real thirst for beer, wine, prosecco and sweet drinks, and a craving for the delicious snacks from ‘Nachbarskind’, the evening offered the perfect setting to continue conversations beyond the lecture hall. A DJ created a vibrant atmosphere throughout the evening and even invited our youngest guests to the dance floor, making it a memorable celebration of science, community, and summer until late after midnight.
