We were part of the “Türen auf mit der Maus” Day 2024!

Everyone in Germany is familiar with The Show with the Mouse! In exciting laugh and factual stories, the mouse, together with his friends the duck and the elephant, have been imparting knowledge from all subject areas to children for over 30 years.

On October 3rd the time had finally come. We were part of the Germany-wide “Türen auf mit der Maus” day! On Doors Open Day, children can look behind the doors of research institutions, companies, etc. and gain exciting insights into what would otherwise remain closed.

In the WSIC laboratories, the children took on the role of young researchers and went on an exciting journey of discovery! How are new therapies and drugs against cancer created? And how can we actually make the cancer cells visible to our human eyes and watch and support our immune system in its fight against the tumor cells? The children learned this and more at Doors Open Day!
