1st iFIT PhD Retreat

🤔 What do cancer research, a Renaissance castle and the beautiful Franconian region of Hohenlohe have in common?

💡 🎓 They were all part of our very first PhD Retreat organzied by Sisi Deng & Steffen Hardy with more than 40 participants! And what a great event it was!

🤩 The varied sessions of our two day retreat included exciting presentations on grant writing (Lukas Mager), PhD Program experience (Mara Mitstorfer & Anna Ohmayer), Self Leadership Workshop (Laimdota Zizmare), Career Plan (Liudmila Andreeva), Interdisciplinary Work (Florian Wimmers) and several other fantastic topics!

🎤 The highlight was definitely the entertaining Powerpoint Karaoke with over 30 magnificent contributions! The jury had a hard time selecting the winners but came up with a satisfactory conclusion:

😊 The two days were a great example of how fruitful and important it is to allow yourself the time to work on different kind of topics together.
