Dr. Ellen Brenner starts as Head of the iFIT Office

Ellen Brenner graduated from the University of Stuttgart with a diploma in biology, specializing in molecular immunology, cell biology, molecular biology and genetics. She moved to Tübingen and joined the Lab of Prof. Martin Röcken, and focused on T-helper-1-cell therapy on cancer cells. She did her PhD supervised by Professor Martin Röcken and Hans-Georg Rammensee and worked till May as Postdoc side by side to the iFIT Building. She represented the finding that interferon-dependent senescence induction plays a crucial role in tumor immunotherapy. With her, we can rely on a scientist with a strong background in oncology research, who has a comprehensive understanding of the needs and challenges of research at the University Tübingen.
A career change from research to administration is a major decision - and so, right before joining the iFIT team, Dr. Ellen Brenner followed her soul's desire and embarked on a group trip to Mount Kailash, a trekking adventure through the landscapes of Nepal and Tibet. An expedition exemplifies not only her physical resilience, but also anchored in her the importance of teamwork and an open-mindedness, thus laying an ideal foundation for a new beginning.
Let's inspire each other to get to work on the new proposal: iFIT2.0 - Here's to the future!
