Dr. Suchira Gallage recieves the German Liver Foundation's Prize for best publication

Each year, the German Liver Foundation honors a groundbreaking publication with the "German Liver Foundation Award". This year, the award went to a fundamental scientific study that examines the potential effects of intermittent fasting on metabolically induced steatohepatitis and the resulting liver cancer.

Numerous researchers applied or were nominated for the 2025 award for an outstanding publication in the field of hepatology. Submissions were reviewed by an independent panel consisting of Prof. Dr. Christian Lange (Munich), Prof. Dr. Felix Stickel (Bern, Switzerland), and Prof. Dr. Andrea Tannapfel (Bochum).

After evaluation and discussion of the submitted works, the committee unanimously decided to award a publication where besides Dr. Gallage numerous other M3 Researchers worked on:
