Prof. Jan Born receives ERC Advanced Grant

How does sleep balance the abstraction and forgetting of memory? To investigate this question, Jan Born was awarded with the highly endowed Advanced Grant from the European Research Council (ERC). 

In the current application round, the European Research Council has awarded Advanced Grants to 185 scientists, of which 35 went to Germany. Up to 2.5 million euros each will enable the high-profile researchers and their teams to pursue their project ideas, which are considered excellent.
