Prof. Juliane Walz receives International Immunocompromised Host Society (ICHS) Takeda Virology Award

Congratulations to our member Juliane Walz for receiving the Takeda Virology Award from the International Immunocompromised Host Society (ICHS) in the category "Best Laboratory Science 2020-2022"! She was awarded in recognition of her outstanding contribution during the last two years of the pandemic in the development of a COVID19 peptide vaccine to induce SARSCoV2 T cell immunity. The vaccine, which is specifically designed for immunocompromised patients, is currently in a Phase II trial and is showing promising results.

The award, which was given for the first time, was presented to her during the 22nd ICHS meeting in Basel on September 11.
