Why come to Tübingen?

Tübingen is situated in Southern Germany in the heart of Baden-Württemberg between the Black Forest and the Swabian Alb, not far from Stuttgart. The charming university town of 87,000 inhabitants and 22,000 students combines the flair of a restored medieval old town with the colourful bustle and typical atmosphere of a young and cosmopolitan students' community, featuring numerous cafes, beer gardens, restaurants and pubs as well as an active music and theatre scene. A boat ride in a traditional punt, or "Stocherkahn", offers a scenic view of the picturesque Neckar waterfront with the famous Hölderlin Tower.
