Girls'Day 2023

What a great "Girls'Day - Mädchen-Zukunftstag" it was! Our future scientists had the possibility to take a look behind the scenes of cancer research and in particular microscopy. What exactly is a t-cell and how does cancer develop? How are we able to detect cancer cells and how does microscopy help us in finding innovative therapies to fight cancer? The girls received detailed answers to these questions and had the opportunity to experience what it feels like to work in a laboratory! Because cancer research is anything but boring and dry laboratory work!

A big thank you to our PhD students Anna, Isabelle, Julia, Naray, Oliver & Steffen for organizing this fantastic day and a huge thank you to the girls who did an outstanding job! Maybe one or the other is now interested in a science career 😄
