Prof. Dr. Hans-Georg Rammensee official member of the Leopoldina

🏆 Almost a year ago, our iFIT spokesperson Hans-Georg Rammensee was elected into the German National Academy of Sciences Leopoldina. To make his admission official, he recently received his certificate during the ceremony of his specialist class by Leopoldina President Prof. Dr. Gerald Haug on April 19, in Halle (Saale). During the following scientific symposium Prof. Rammensee gave a talk on “The peptides at the center of the immunological synapse: essential in health and disease”.

🔬 Prof. Rammensee is inducted into the Academy of Sciences for his extraordinary achievements around immunology at Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen, especially the analysis of infection- and cancer-associated peptides and the development work on personalized cancer vaccination. He and his team have done pioneering international work with the elucidation of the recognition mechanisms of T cells in the human immune system from which several scientists and physicians at Universitätsklinikum Tübingen and around the world have benefitted from.
