Institute for Occupational Medicine, Social Medicine and Health Services Research

We are currently the only institute of occupational medicine in Baden-Württemberg and stand for the close connection between research, teaching and occupational and social medical care. As part of the Institute's two main research areas "Work-related stress - work design" and "Health care for people of working age", research is carried out on a broad spectrum with the common goal of promoting the health of people of working age.

Teaching courses are held in occupational medicine, social medicine, clinical environmental medicine, prevention and health promotion and health services research. Continuing education events, also for external participants, and further training in occupational medicine complete the spectrum.

Our occupational and social medicine outpatient clinic fulfills all company medical tasks in accordance with the Occupational Safety Act for various institutions (in particular the University of Tübingen) and companies. The Occupational Safety and Health Act and the Ordinance on Preventive Occupational Health Care form the basis for our comprehensive occupational medical activities, which also include consultations and assessments.
