Myocardial ischemia/reperfusion - Perioperative myocardial damage.
Our research focuses on the study of molecular mechanisms leading to cellular adaptation to oxygen deprivation (hypoxia). In doing so, we draw on a broad methodological approach ranging from in vitro experiments to translational studies.
In our clinical trials, we are intensively engaged in identifying predictors that increase the risk of perioperative myocardial damage. Our goal is to make anesthesia safer in the future. We are convinced that our research results can make a significant contribution to improving medical practice. -
