Wirkstoffpeptidlabor

Wirkstoffpeptidlabor

The Wirkstoffpeptidlabor of the University of Tübingen within the Department of Immunology has more than 25 years of experience in the production of synthetic peptides. It specializes in the efficient production of small quantities of peptides in pharmaceutical quality for use in personalized peptide vaccination in the context of phase I and II clinical trials. Since March 2012, the Wirkstoffpeptidlabor has held a GMP certificate from the Regierungspräsidium Tübingen l as an active ingredient manufacturer in accordance with § 64 AMG.

Since March 2014, the Wirkstoffpeptidlabor has held a manufacturing license in accordance with §13 AMG (German Drug Law) from the Regierungspräsidium Tübingen for vaccine peptide cocktails; meanwhile for cocktails with up to ten peptides with or without the adjuvant XS15, as well as for the manufacture of mixing kits (for the preparation of an emulsion ready for application).

The last inspection of the Wirkstoffpeptidlabor by the Regierungspräsidium Tübingen took place in September 2020.

Services

The production of the Wirkstoffpeptidlabor takes place in two areas:

Area 1: The Wirkstoffpeptidlabor of the University of Tübingen is located within the Department of Immunology Auf der Morgenstelle 15, 72076 Tübingen. Peptides are produced here as active pharmaceutical ingredients.

Area 2: The GMP Center (GMPZ) is located in the Center for Clinical Transfusion Medicine (ZKT) at Otfried-Müller-Str. 4/1, 72076 Tübingen, within the University Hospital. Here, the vaccine peptides are produced from the active ingredients for use on patients as drug products.

Our services

We are pleased to offer synthetic peptides (lyophilisate or combined in a peptide pool solution) in tested laboratory quality also for academic or industrial partners.

We will be happy to provide you with an individual offer for your project.

  • Within the scope of the manufacturing authorization, we offer (unmodified) GMP-certified peptides for use as active ingredients, among other things.
  • Furthermore, the portfolio includes vaccine peptide cocktails (of up to 10 different peptides and/or placebo) for clinical phases I and II according to study-individual specifications as a sterile drug; this can be in patient-individual or one-for-all design.
  • For the aseptic preparation of an emulsion of vaccine peptide cocktail and Montanide ISA 51 VG (Seppic) as the oily ingredient, mixing kits with all necessary components are available.

We would be pleased to provide you with an individual offer for your project.
