The artificial word CRONA stands for the five specialist disciplines that moved into the largest hospital building at Tübingen University Hospital on Schnarrenberg in 1988 and 89: Surgery, Radiology, Orthopaedics, Neurology and Anesthesia. Today, these university clinics are still located together under one roof in the striking building and form the heart of the Kliniken Berg hospital site. The Neurosurgical University Clinic, the University Clinic for Thoracic, Cardiac and Vascular Surgery and the University Clinic for Urology have since been added. The central operating theater and the main entrance to the central emergency room are located in the basement.
