Our Clinical Research Center combines basic experimental research from the institute’s own laboratories with clinical research involving patients. Our research focuses on diseases of the blood, the coagulation system, and hemophilia. Our goal is to translate findings from our laboratory work into clinical studies, develop new therapeutic approaches, and continuously improve transfusion medicine care. Another goal is to further optimize the safety, efficacy, and quality of blood products. A particular focus of our work is the development of innovative blood products for clinical use.
