Information for students

The University Eye Hospital Tübingen, under the direction of Prof. Dr. Bartz-Schmidt, offers the spectrum of maximum care for the diagnosis and therapy of diseases of the eye, the ocular adnexa, the optic nerve and the visual pathway.

Education

The core task of the Department of Ophthalmology is the training of students in the field of ophthalmology. The emphasis is on practical work and the comprehensive knowledge required in ophthalmological medicine. For this purpose, teaching events are held in the pre-clinical study section and in the clinical study section.

Continuing and further education

Furthermore, the teaching of the University Eye Hospital also includes further education and training. In addition, teaching is responsible for the training of students of medical technology, further training to become a specialist, further training of hospital and practicing doctors, and also supports the work of the graduate schools in Tübingen.

Students are very welcome at the Eye Clinic.

By arrangement, clinical traineeships, practical years and nursing internships can be completed at any time. Special requests for work in the clinic will be taken into account as far as possible.

Accessibility of the lecture hall:

About Hoppe-Seyler-StraßeFrom Hoppe-Seyler-Str. you can reach the lecture hall through the rear entrance of the ENT clinic.
Please follow the signs "Lehrzentrum HNO-Klinik" and go up the stairs.
From the entrance door you enter directly into the teaching center and find the lecture hall (2nd door) on the left side.

From main entranceFrom the main entrance, turn left in the direction of the ENT clinic.
Cross the waiting area of the registration
Turn right at the end of the waiting area towards the stairs
Take the stairs and go down one floor...
Orientate yourself by the signs in the direction of "Lehrzentrum".
Once you have arrived at the teaching centre, please take the 2nd door to the lecture hall

Accessibility of the seminar room:

Go from the main entrance to the left in the direction of the ENT clinic and cross the waiting area.
Turn right in the direction of the stairs and climb down one floor.
Please follow the signs Kerstan Atrium, there you will find the seminar room.
