Über uns

Eine integrale und umfassende Versorgung von Patientinnen und Patienten auf höchstem Niveau der Hochschulmedizin ist die zentrale Leistung der Poliklinik. Patienten und Patientinnen stehen bei uns im Mittelpunkt von Krankenversorgung, Lehre und Forschung. 

Die Poliklinik für Zahnärztliche Prothetik steht allen Patientinnen und Patienten für Beratungen, Untersuchungen und Behandlungen (auch ohne Überweisung) offen.

Unser Behandlungsspektrum umfasst festsitzenden, abnehmbaren und kombinierten Zahnersatz/ Prothesen auf Zähnen und Implantaten,  das Einbringen Dentaler Implantate in den Kiefer (künstlichen Zahnwurzeln) sowie die Diagnostik und Therapie von schmerzhaften Funktionsstörungen des Kiefer-/Gesichtsbereichs.

Es besteht die Möglichkeit als privat oder gesetzlich versicherte Person in der Privatambulanz behandelt zu werden. Dafür ist ein erster Vorstellungstermin notwendig, den Sie über die Email-Adresse oder das Sekretariat individuell vereinbaren können.

Die Studierenden des vierten Studienjahres und des Exames versorgen Sie unter Supervision unserer Zahnärztinnen und -ärzte mit jeglicher Form des Zahnersatzes: ob Krone, Brücke, Teleskop- oder Totalprothese.

Forschung und Lehre

Unser Lehrstuhl trainiert zu Studienbeginn bereits die manuellen und visuellen Herausforderungen für eine reflektierte, wissenschafts- basierte, zahnärztliche Tätigkeit. Die Studierenden sind nach drei Jahren Studium und zwei Staatsprüfungen hervorragend vorbereitet für die Patientenbehandlung unter Anleitung/ Aufsicht unserer Ärzteschaft in den Klinischen Behandlungskursen. Nach 5 Jahren schließen sie dann ihr Studium auch mit einem praktischen Examen in Zahnersatzkunde ab. 

Unsere Forschung fokussiert sich auf die Untersuchung der Leistungsfähigkeit von Medizinprodukten (wozu auch Zahnersatz und Implantate zählen) und neuen Technologien (z.B. 3D-Druck) sowie die Zusammenhänge von Mundgesundheit, Kaufunktion mit der Allgemeingesundheit bei der Versorgung in der täglichen Praxis (Versorgungsforschung).
