DigiPuR
Support after discharge
Returning to (school) life after discharge from a child and adolescent psychiatric hospital is often a challenge for children and adolescents, as well as their parents and teachers. The research project DigiPuR offers guidance and support during this time.

Who is DigiPuR aimed at?
DigiPuR is directed at children and adolescents who receive partial or full inpatient treatment in the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Department at the University Hospital of Tübingen, as well as their parents and teachers. With DigiPuR we aim to:
- Stabilise treatment successes after discharge
- Accompany the transition to outpatient follow-up treatment, if required.

Methodology
Preregistered, longitudinal RCT study
Participants will be assigned to one of two groups. One group will be offered regular follow-up consultations in the clinic. The other group will receive a digital aftercare service, consisting of an app and video calls, for a period of up to eight weeks after discharge. These enable an uncomplicated and yet intensive exchange with the clinic from the comfort of the participants’ own homes. To enable us to optimally plan the treatment and assess its success, all participants complete questionnaires on various topics.
