The Core Facilities of the Medical Faculty offer a wide range of high-end technologies and expert knowledge, providing scientists from the faculty, the university, and external users access to top-level scientific services. Most of our Core Facilities are going to use PPMS (Pasteur Platform Management System) - a web-based software from Stratocore that enables documentation, organization, booking and billing. In order to use their equipment, infrastructure or services, it is necessary to create an individual account in our booking system.
Users receive an overview of all booked services and appointments in the respective Core Facilities on their individual dashboard. Invoicing for the booked services is usually carried out on a quarterly basis.
Further information on specific booking procedures, i.e. for those Core Facilities not yet using PPMS, can be obtained from the respective Core Facility or its website.
Please remember to mention the Core Facility you used in the acknowledgments of your publications, reports or presentations. Mentioning the individual facilities helps to ensure the long-term funding and operation of our Core Facilities.
If the Core Facility made a significant scientific contribution to your research project, a co-authorship is justified despite invoicing (see guidelines for good scientific practice).
Please use the following sentence as a template and adapt it as required. Add the DFG project number if applicable:
"We thank the Core Facility [name] of the Faculty of Medicine Tübingen for providing excellent support. The following instrumentation, funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - [project number] was used"
You can find the project numbers of our DFG-funded instruments on the website of the respective Core Facility.
Please inform the Core Facility after successful submission of your publication, either via e-mail or PPMS.
As part of the Sonderlinie Hochschulmedizin, we aim to establish close collaboration and continuous networking with the core facility platforms of the medical faculties at our partner locations in Baden-Württemberg. The available research infrastructures and the respective services are presented on the following pages and are accessible to all researchers.

The Sonderlinie was launched under the Hochschulfinanzierungsvereinbarung II to strengthen cooperation among Baden-Württemberg’s medical faculties – with a particular emphasis on supporting early-career researchers and expanding research infrastructure.
