German translation of the Integrative Nursing Education Series (INES-D) - Handbook
From a nursing perspective, integrative, naturopathic interventions such as wraps and compresses are an original component of holistic healthcare and, from a historical perspective, can be considered a domain of nursing. The INES project is an EU-funded Erasmus Plus project, which was carried out by five Northern European universities from 2019-2022. The aim of the project was to strengthen the knowledge, attitudes, competences and skills of European nurses in relation to evidence-based and safe complementary non-pharmacological interventions and integrative care. Based on international literature research, a best-practice database and a competence profile for integrative care in basic training were developed for the European region. The findings of the project resulted in the Integrative Nursing Education Series and the INES model of integrative nursing in the INES handbook for teachers in nursing education in English.
Aims of the project
Translation of the English INES manual into German. The aim is to disseminate the content developed by the Northern European colleagues on evidence-based complementary, non-pharmacological interventions and naturopathic care in German-speaking countries (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) and to provide teachers in nursing training with a wide range of methodological and didactic teaching content. By incorporating the German-speaking teaching and care setting, the knowledge, attitudes, competencies and skills of nurses in relation to evidence-based and safe non-pharmacological interventions and their integration into patient care can be strengthened in all relevant areas of healthcare in German-speaking countries.
