  • Marina A. Pavlova is a professor at the Department of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy at Tübingen University Hospital. She heads the "Social Neuroscience" working group. Her strengths lie primarily in the field of interdisciplinary research that combines the application of (neuro)psychological methods with modern multimodal brain imaging and clinical studies. Her groundbreaking, internationally recognized and award-winning research is in areas of social cognition such as body language reading, facial recognition and sex differences in neuropsychiatry, developmental disorders and other diseases (such as breast cancer). Her research is supported by major national and international funders such as the DFG, the DAAD, the Else Kröner-Fresenius-Stiftung (EKFS), the HFSPO and the EU and is widely covered by the media.
