Early addiction medicine intervention, e.g. also outpatient information and motivation treatment (pre-operative smoking cessation, alcohol withdrawal treatment, post-stationary further treatment, etc.)
Advice on dealing with withdrawal situations, co-treatment, in particular detoxification treatment
Relieving the medical and nursing staff on site in dealing with comorbidly ill addicted patients
If necessary, transfer to inpatient, day-care and outpatient treatment at the UKPP

Consultation appointment

Contact can be made by telephone or e-mail with the consultant doctor of the Prevention Outpatient Clinic for Addiction. Depending on the need, either a telephone consultation takes place or an on-site consultation appointment is arranged.

Indications for a consultation

Intoxication with alcohol, medication or illegal drugs
Tobacco addiction (regular smoker)
Questions about substitution treatments (methadone, subutex, codeine)
Suspicion of abusive or dependent substance use
- Alcohol: MCV, gamma-GT elevated; external signs of alcohol dependence, alcohol-related secondary diseases
- Medications: regular use of sedatives and/or opioids for a period of more than 6 months, significant increase in dosage, use without medical indication
- Illegal drugs: Intoxication, withdrawal syndrome
