Practical year

Students in the practical year participate in the ward work in our clinic and are supervised by the assistants on the ward and the responsible senior physician. The aim is to give them a comprehensive insight into psychiatric work. They take part in the admission and treatment of psychiatric patients and learn about the many different psychiatric clinical pictures.

In addition to the learning units on the ward, there are regular theoretical lessons for the students in the practical year. Here the theoretical knowledge is deepened and thus an optimal preparation for exams is made possible. Topics from the entire field of psychiatry are addressed. In addition to a deepening of the knowledge in general and special psychopathology, the psychiatric anamnesis and diagnostic findings as well as advanced diagnostics and treatment of selected clinical pictures are in the foreground.

Interested interns of our clinic may also participate in the PJ classes.
Likewise, the possibility of regular participation in the training events of the clinic is offered.
