The COVID-19 pandemic has profoundly impacted all facets of healthcare and the healthcare system, presenting significant challenges to professional nurses, family caregivers, and the organizations in which they work. However, first and foremost, the pandemic has had a major impact on patients, residents, clients, and care recipients.
The Department of Nursing Science strives to identify current challenges and issues in both home-based and long-term care settings, before and during the pandemic. The goal is to work collaboratively with stakeholders to develop long-term solutions that contribute to the quality of life and safety of care recipients.
