Pregnant women are concerned about giving their unborn child a good start in life. This also includes stopping the consumption of alcohol and tobacco during pregnancy. This is not always easy. The online counselling programme IRIS provides support in stopping consumption. Since January 2018, IRIS is available improved, updated and modernized.

The support offer
The support offer is aimed at pregnant women who are at least 18 years old and who during pregnancy
- smoke cigarettes and/or
- drink alcohol
For pregnant alcoholics, IRIS is not sufficient as a stand-alone measure; medical advice should urgently be sought in advance. The IRIS online counselling accompanies you through all phases, from preparation to stopping consumption. The internet-based program can be used at home or on the road at any time - via PC, notebook, tablet or smartphone. In various modules and interactive online exercises, it offers the opportunity to deal specifically with personal needs and possible solutions. If necessary, a counsellor provides support by e-mail (a so-called "e-coach"). Participation is anonymous and free of charge.
