In our special consultation for adults (age 18-65 years) with ADHD/ADS, a comprehensive diagnosis is carried out. This includes standardized tests and, if necessary, further test psychological examinations. We also offer therapy recommendations in terms of medication and psychotherapy.
Special consultation for adults with ADHS/ADS
Our offer
- Extensive, detailed diagnostics including detailed current and biographical anamnesis, inclusion of school reports and external reports as well as a neuropsychological performance test (attention and concentration, flexible problem solving, memory). In contrast to other university clinics, the entire diagnostic process is free of charge!
- Support with regular psychoeducation (as part of studies).
- If both parents and children are affected, appointments can be coordinated within the framework of the family outpatient clinic (the child and adolescent psychiatric clinic is right next door).
- Parents of affected young adults can contact the relatives group of the child and adolescent psychiatry.
Contact
We only make appointments for initial diagnostics after receiving primary school reports or, if these are no longer available, reports from parents or similar on childhood behaviour. If the diagnosis was already made in childhood, please send us the doctor's letters.

Please note that in the case of a currently existing serious mental illness (e.g. moderate-severe depressive episode, pronounced obsessive-compulsive disorder / panic disorder) only a tentative diagnosis can be made and neuropsychological testing is not meaningful.
Scientific studies
We are always looking for participants for scientific studies in order to better understand the disorder and to be able to offer more individual therapy!
As the consultation is mainly financed by research funds and can only be free of charge for patients for this reason, we would like to have the willingness to participate in studies. However, participation in studies is not obligatory after the diagnosis has been completed. The aim of these studies is to better understand the disorder in order to be able to develop better therapies.
Study: tDCS therapy for ADHD
We would like to refer to a current study in our company, which will investigate the effects of transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) on ADHD symptoms.
