In our special consultation for adults (aged 18-45) with ADHD/ADS, a comprehensive diagnosis is carried out for those affected from the Tübingen district (50 km radius). This includes standardized tests and, if necessary, further psychological tests. As part of the diagnosis, we make recommendations for treatment with medication and psychotherapy; treatment takes place in an outpatient context.
Special consultation for adults with ADHS/ADS
What we offer
- Comprehensive, detailed diagnostics including a detailed current and biographical anamnesis, inclusion of school reports and external reports as well as neuropsychological performance testing (attention and concentration, flexible problem solving, memory). Unlike at other university clinics, the entire diagnostic process is free of charge for you!
- Support with regular psychoeducation (as part of studies).
- If both parents and children are affected, appointments can be coordinated in the family outpatient clinic (the child and adolescent psychiatry department is right next door).
- Parents of affected young adults are welcome to attend the relatives' group of the child and adolescent psychiatry department.
Contact
Due to a very high number of requests, there are currently no more dates available. New registrations can only be accepted again from October.

Please note that in the case of a currently existing serious mental illness (e.g. moderate-severe depressive episode, pronounced obsessive-compulsive disorder / panic disorder) only a tentative diagnosis can be made and neuropsychological testing is not meaningful.
Scientific studies
We are always looking for participants for scientific studies in order to better understand the disorder and to be able to offer more individual therapy!
As the consultation is mainly financed by research funds and can only be free of charge for patients for this reason, we would like to have the willingness to participate in studies. However, participation in studies is not obligatory after the diagnosis has been completed. The aim of these studies is to better understand the disorder in order to be able to develop better therapies.
Study: tDCS therapy for ADHD
We would like to refer to a current study in our company, which will investigate the effects of transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) on ADHD symptoms.
