Outpatient treatment
For an outpatient consultation or treatment in our clinic, as well as for a visit to one of our special consultation hours, an appointment should be made in advance by telephone. You can then present yourself to us with a referral for outpatient treatment.

Psychotherapeutic outpatient clinic
Psychotherapeutic outpatient clinic
(Training Outpatient Clinic of the Tübingen Academy for Behavioural Therapy)
The Psychotherapeutic Outpatient Clinic is run in accordance with the Psychotherapists Act for the purposes of training, teaching and research. Treatments are offered at the cutting edge of behavioural therapy.
The treatment spectrum is aimed at adults with statutory health insurance who suffer from mental problems or disorders. The outpatient clinic treats all mental disorders for which there are scientifically developed therapeutic approaches of modern behavioural therapy.
Preliminary discussions
A preliminary discussion serves to inform both parties. During the interview it is clarified whether outpatient psychotherapy is indicated. If the interested person decides in favour of psychotherapy, a consultation with a doctor is necessary after three to four probationary preliminary interviews, but before the actual treatment begins, in order to determine possible physical illnesses.
Quality assurance
All our therapists are in postgraduate training to become psychological psychotherapists. During the training, psychotherapeutic methods are taught at the latest level and practiced practically. In addition, each therapy is supervised by a state-approved supervisor.
Costs
As a rule, the costs are covered by the statutory health insurance companies if there is an appropriate indication.
Contact
Registration for a non-binding preliminary discussion is possible by telephone or e-mail.

Psychotherapeutic-Psychiatric Outpatient Clinic
(for privately insured and self-pay patients)
This treatment offer is aimed at privately insured and self-pay patients who suffer from psychological problems or disorders or who have the desire for personal change and development. We offer scientifically based counselling and therapy according to the latest findings of modern psychiatry and psychotherapy.
In an initial counselling session, after a detailed anamnesis and diagnosis, the individual need for treatment is assessed and a joint decision is made on the next steps of treatment.
For specific indications, we cooperate with the special outpatient clinics in our clinic. If, in our opinion, inpatient or day-care treatment is advisable, we will discuss this with you.

Psychotherapeutic treatment with weekly appointments
In our outpatient clinic, we usually offer psychotherapeutic treatment with weekly appointments. In special treatment situations, psychiatric-psychotherapeutic treatment is also possible, with therapy appointments adjusted according to need. Procedures at the cutting edge of behavioural therapy (ACT, CBASP, DBT, IPT, schema therapy) and depth psychology-based psychotherapy are offered.
Coaching for the desire for personal change and further development
As an alternative to psychotherapy, we can also support you in your desire for personal change and further development within the framework of coaching. Coaching usually comprises only a few appointments. The topics are related to life and are not to be classified as an illness. Therefore, the costs are not covered by health insurance and it may be necessary to bill the client as a self-payer.
Therapy in the form of video contacts
In special treatment situations, it is possible to conduct therapy in the form of video contact. We can also provide outpatient psychotherapy in the following foreign languages: English, French, Italian, Luxembourgish, Polish, Hungarian.
Our treatment team consists of physicians and psychologists (specialists in psychiatry and psychotherapy, physicians in advanced training and psychological psychotherapists) with different specialties.
